    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Job Description</p>\n<p>Performs ultrasound examinations. Calibrates equipment, as needed. Coordinates ultrasound activities and patient flow with Supervisors and the Control Office.</p>\n<p>Job Responsibility</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>* Performs all Ultrasound examinations presently being offered at Southside Hospital.</li>\n <li>* Orients new Ultrasound Technologists and students and evaluates them.</li>\n <li>* Participates in quality control and quality assurance programs.</li>\n <li>* Keeps the room in an orderly fashion.</li>\n <li>* Works with the Radiologists with new concepts in Ultrasound.</li>\n <li>* Keeps records and provides census information.</li>\n <li>* Processes and oversees processing of films.</li>\n <li>* Calibrates equipment and camera as needed.</li>\n <li>* Assigns patients to come down to the Department.</li>\n <li>* Assigns other duties as needed for the proper flow of patients.</li>\n <li>* Coordinates and schedules all patients in Ultrasound with the Control Office.</li>\n <li>* Works cooperatively and maintains ethical relationships with all patients and personnel in the proper conduct of the Department.</li>\n <li>* Maintains proficiency and understanding in the treatment and care of infant, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients.</li>\n <li>* Sends exams to PACS archive.</li>\n <li>Performs related duties, as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>*ADA Essential Functions</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Job Qualification</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited medical sonography program, required.</li>\n <li>Registry in a specific sonography specialty appropriate to the position with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), required.</li>\n <li>Experience in sonography specialty appropriate to the position, required.</li>\n <li>Hospital experience, preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Temporary role, possibly 3-5 months.</li>\n <li>Shift: Sunday, Monday and Friday 8am to 9pm; holidays as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><strong>*Additional Salary Detail</strong>&nbsp;<br>\n The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
