The ideal candidate will 1) be a team player, 2) possess strong technical skills, 3) have a commitment to maintaining the safety culture, and 4) thrive in a dynamic environment. Before applying for this position, it is important to understand the following: </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">This is a contract position due to remain through November 2026 (but may extend after this period). Benefits are available with this position (medical, dental, and vision). </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Day and Night shifts will be necessary.</span><br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate closely with plant scientists and operators to provide analytical chemistry support for experimental design and process optimization. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Perform timely analysis of samples using ICP-OES, flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (FAAS), total organic carbon (TOC) analysis, benchtop NMR spectroscopy, automated titration systems, and other analytical techniques as required. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Prepare and maintain calibration standard solutions for calibration curves and QC checks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Structure analytical batches with proper quality control checks to ensure data integrity.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Perform careful data review before reporting results. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Adhere to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all testing processes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment/instrumentation as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Place order requests for chemicals and supplies necessary for instrument operation and sample analysis.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Manage multiple tasks efficiently to meet tight deadlines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety in the laboratory.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure a clean, organized, and well-maintained laboratory workspace.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">A bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry, or related field, </span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">OR</span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"> at least two years of experience in an analytical chemistry setting.  </span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong understanding of:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Serial dilutions and preparation of calibration curves</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Sample dilutions, limits of detection, and limits of quantitation.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Familiarity with basic statistical concepts in analytical chemistry, including coefficient of determination, relative standard deviation, percent error, and percent recovery.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Proficiency with spreadsheet tools such as Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Proven ability to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and efficiently.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Hands-on experience with analysis of metals in solution using instrumental techniques such as ICP, FAAS, NMR, or similar instrumentation. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated proficiency in accurate pipetting techniques for solution preparation. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience with coding (Excel functions, Python, Google Apps Script) and/or automation is a plus but not a must-have.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
