These pillars form the foundation of our company-wide commitment to sustainability, helping us achieve our ambitious goals through our wide-ranging initiatives.</p>\n<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>The Operations Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the production activities of the plant. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The Operations Manager is accountable for inspiring and executing strategies which achieve optimum safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability.</li>\n <li>Develop and Advance initiatives that promote and improve the safety, health, security, and welfare of all employees.</li>\n <li>Maintain and drive safe, clean, orderly (5s), and environmentally compliant production operations.</li>\n <li>Follow and Enforce GMP’s in compliance with all food safety requirements.</li>\n <li>Inclusive oversight of all production and production support activities of the facility ensuring all are conducted in accordance with Company policies, principles, procedures, values, and standards.</li>\n <li>Effectively assess, mentor and coach direct reports to ensure optimum performance.</li>\n <li>Provide technical recommendations and implementation for continuous improvement in plant production process.</li>\n <li>Proactively conference and collaborate with customers, sales, and internal/external support resources to evaluate, develop, and promote strategies designed to improve service, flow, quality, and product value.</li>\n <li>Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.</li>\n <li>Responsible and accountable for Operations Metrics to include Turn-over, Service, Quality, Cost, OEE, Waste. </li>\n <li>Willingly undertake and perform other duties and tasks as assigned. </li>\n <li>Will have supervisors and lead personnel as well as the hourly production workforce as direct reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Candidate Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree, or a combination of continuing education and experience. </li>\n <li>Continuous Improvement or Black Belt Certification is a plus.</li>\n <li>Experience leading change in a Union environment.</li>\n <li>A minimum of 5-7 years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li>\n <li>Demonstrated evidence of implementing or utilizing TQM, Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma processes and methodologies to drive improvement in cost, productivity, or profitability.</li>\n <li>Experience with SQF or ISO within a manufacturing environment</li>\n <li>Proven technical leadership with the ability to utilize structured problem-solving methods to deliver results.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the willingness and ability to learn new systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>Physical Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lifting; a minimum of 50 lbs. - Carrying; a minimum of 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Pulling; 2 hours - Pushing; 3 hours - Reaching above shoulders</li>\n <li>Walking; 8 hours - Standing; 8 hours - Kneeling; 4 hours - Bending; 6 hours - Squatting; 6 hours - Climbing;6 hours</li>\n <li>Visual ability - Hearing ability</li>\n <li>use hands and fingers to feel, handle, push/pull levers & buttons, and operate various tools.   </li>\n <li>Reduces the impact of plastic and paper on the environment through recycling and increased recycled content.</li>\n <li>Sets a high standard of industry leadership and corporate citizenship.</li>\n <li>Creates meaningful benefits for the environment and the community.</li>\n <li>Facilitates environmental action by retailers and the community.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130 - $155 + bonus + benefits.
