Cuts, bends, threads and fits pipes with adjoining pipe assemblies. Repairs leaks and clears clogged drains. Installs sinks, showers, toilets, water heaters and related plumbing fixtures. May replace tile, replaster or paint walls through which holes have been made to gain access to plumbing. Interprets blueprints and works from sketches or verbal instructions. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.</p>\n<h2>Major Job Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspects, tests, repairs, installs and maintains mechanical equipment and systems, including but not limited to fire protection systems, domestic and sewer lines and systems, eye wash stations, back flow devices, flushometers, service kitchens equipment, and grease interceptors</li>\n <li>Estimates time and material costs on plumbing projects</li>\n <li>Inspects completed work to ensure compliance and engineering specifications and Los Angeles city codes</li>\n <li>May requisition new plumbing supplies and equipment</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School/GED</li>\n <li>4 to 5 years of maintenance plumbing experience</li>\n <li>Valid California driver's license with less than three DMVV points</li>\n <li>Holds a Los Angeles County back flow tester license or able to obtain one within 12 months of employment</li>\n <li>Holds a C 36 contractor's license or Journeyman's card</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability operate plumbing tools and equipment such as cable snake machines, jetting machines, electric pipe thread machines, fiber optic cameras for inspection of drains, sonic leak detection equipment</li>\n <li>Ability to solder and braze copper pipe, cut and thread all sizes and types of plumbing pipe,</li>\n <li>Ability to repair and install plumbing fixtures (urinals, toilets, sinks)</li>\n <li>Ability to troubleshoot domestic and industrial plumbing systems</li>\n <li>Experience with sewer ejector pumps</li>\n <li>Familiar with the City of Los Angeles plumbing codes and regulations</li>\n <li>Familiar with clay valves and fire life safety systems (including fire pumps, wet and dry sprinkler systems, and flow testing)</li</li>\n <li>Familiar with pneumatic systems and grease interceptors</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret blue print drawings</li>\n <li>Ability to use a computerized work order tracking system</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits and Perks</h2>\n<p>Here are just some examples that Getty offers/provides for full-time employees:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental and Vision insurance coverage, starting on date of hire.
