This exciting ownership positions us for continued impacts and growth in the future.</p>\n<h2>Essential Functions & Responsibilities </h2>\n<p><strong>Diesel Truck Mechanic  </strong>As a Diesel Truck Mechanic you will be responsible for providing maintenance support through the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of trucks, trailers and tankers. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times</li>\n <li>Inspects, diagnoses and repairs trucks, trailers and tankers; repairs or replaces vehicle transmissions, steering mechanisms, brakes, engines and other associated parts as required </li>\n <li>Completes diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interprets results to develop solutions </li>\n <li>Completes oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks </li>\n <li>Fuels trucks, hooks and unhooks trailers and operates forklifts to complete transfers </li>\n <li>Tests drives repaired vehicles to gauge overall performance and quality issue resolution </li>\n <li>Performs DOT pre-check and NYS inspections </li>\n <li>Consults with customer and reviews work orders to evaluate immediate tasks required and prepare full scope of work</li>\n <li>Maintains records of parts inventory and services vehicles </li>\n <li>Conducts field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown </li>\n <li>Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education </h2>- High-school diploma or equivalent (required)\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>1+ years of diesel engine experience with a mechanical background (required) </li>\n <li>Previous welding experience (preferred) </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity</h2>Arcwood offers competitive pay and bonus incentives.
