Now Hiring: Counselor II, Senior Alcohol & Drug Counselor
Location: Southwood Interventions, 5701 S Wood St, Chicago, IL 60636
Salary Range: $24.05 to $26.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (Men's unit)
As a Counselor II, you have an opportunity to make a difference every day by helping people with substance abuse issues gain control of their lives.
Required certification or license: IAODAPCA certification as CERTIFIED ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG COUNSELOR (CADC) or IC&RC Counselor certification CRADC, CSADC, CAADC or LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPC

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure, CADC, or IC & RC required LPC or LSW or LCSW or LCPC ( LCPC preferred) Two (2) years’ experience working with Substance abuse. Preferred. Two (2) years of counseling experience. Ability to work independently. Ability to exercise discretion and use independent judgment in making decisions. Ability to promote positive behavior and manage resistant behavior. At least twenty-one (21) years of age. Valid driver’s license from employee’s state of residence. Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
