    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">The Project Engineer is the primary point-person responsible for planning and delivering engineering projects on time and within budget. &nbsp;The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the project and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. To be successful, the Project Engineer should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks&rsquo; completion.</span></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with on-site management to ensure project success</li><li>Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines</li><li>Responsible for RFI and submittal process</li><li>Processes owner billings and project related accounting issues</li><li>Manage the planning and scheduling of assigned projects of various sizes and complexity</li><li>Assist in generating design proposals and specifications to determine cost effective solutions</li><li>Ensure professional quality services in all facets of work</li><li>Ensure quality control and assurance metrics are met throughout project duration</li><li>Manage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, documentation, and other factors necessary for success</li><li>Work with clients to deliver the end project</li><li>Maintain current business and client relationships</li><li>Visit the site once under construction at regular intervals as required by the project</li><li>Provide cost control during the design and construction process</li><li>Maintain project schedule and project cost summaries to track work progress, budget status, and manpower resource utilization</li><li>Escalate and identify the need for additional services and fees</li><li>Develop and maintain positive client relationships</li><li>Initial job site review and scope when required</li><li>Provide technical design as required</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul><p><strong>COMPETENCIES</strong></p><ul><li>Client focus &ndash; provides added value through service excellence to clients</li><li>Planning and organization &ndash; developing, implementing and adjusting plans to reach goals, while ensuring the optimal use of resources</li><li>Results management &ndash; organize time, work and resources to accomplish objectives in the most effective and efficient way</li></ul><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p><p>Knowledge of:</p><ul><li>Practical application of engineering science and technology including principles, techniques, procedures and equipment</li><li>Design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models</li><li>Complex mathematical methods</li></ul><p>Skilled in:</p><ul><li>Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines</li><li>Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolution skills</li></ul><p>Ability to:</p><ul><li>Build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, internal departments, key managers and other stakeholders</li><li>Imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged</li><li>Think creatively</li><li>Interface effectively with all levels of the organization</li><li>Apply advanced techniques, modifications, and theories to a variety of complex situations</li><li>Actively learn to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making</li><li>Be a visionary for future success of projects</li><li>Be disciplined with financial plans and budget objectives</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering</li><li>Five (5) or more years of relevant commercial building MEP systems design experience</li><li>Knowledge of building codes and ability to perform accurate load calculations</li><li>Knowledge of sustainable design practices</li><li>Basic understanding of all MEP system components</li><li>Demonstrated customer fulfillment</li><li>Mechanical and Electrical coordination experience</li><li>Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)</li><li>Proficient in the use of Revit, AutoCAD and engineering modeling tools</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>PE or EIT certification in engineering discipline</li><li>Desire to become a Professional Engineer in near future</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is mainly required to work indoors in an office setting. &nbsp;Must be capable of occasionally climbing ladders and of traversing obstacles. &nbsp;Regularly required to type, file, or lift office supplies up to 20 pounds.
