    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>\n<p>Under the direction of the Food &amp; Beverage management and supervisory team, this position is responsible for creating Great Experiences and Memories and a WOW factor for guests!&nbsp; While buffet service is a more streamlined model of table service – the stellar Buffet Server actively seeks ways to CONNECT with guests and strives to exceed expectations while providing quality food and beverage service in high volume, fast paced area.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The Buffet Server is collaborative, excels at multi-tasking and displays exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Contributes to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and is master of teamwork!&nbsp; <strong>Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia’s culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides quality food and beverage service in a high volume area</li>\n <li>Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of all work areas including guest seating and side stations</li>\n <li>Actively seeks opportunities to CONNECT with buffet guests:&nbsp; offers appropriate information and product knowledge; promotes contests, giveaways, concerts and; gives any needed assistance</li>\n <li>Ensures a WOW factor for buffet guests – takes buffet service to the next level!</li>\n <li>Table maintenance, table maintenance, table maintenance!</li>\n <li>Enters new items into the POS</li>\n <li>Finds ways to <strong>play</strong>; you are serious about work, without being serious</li>\n <li><strong>Chooses</strong> to make every day a great day</li>\n <li>Stays focused in order to <strong>be there</strong></li>\n <li>Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you <strong>make their day</strong></li>\n <li>Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, employees, vendors and regulators</li>\n <li>Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned or directed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and \"all about the guest\" attitude!</strong></li>\n <li>One year of food and beverage serving experience in either a bar or restaurant setting is an asset</li>\n <li>Strong sales and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize</li>\n <li>Energetic and a team player</li>\n <li>WHMIS training an asset</li>\n <li>Works quickly and efficiently under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment</li>\n <li>Communicates well with fellow team members</li>\n <li>Must be able to commit to offering casino guests the highest level of guest service</li>\n <li>Works well independently as well as in a team environment</li>\n <li>Must be friendly, detailed oriented, fun and outgoing!</li>\n <li>Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment Considerations</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regular casino, restaurant or bar environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors,&nbsp;lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching,&nbsp;non-traditional work hours</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><i>Great Canadian Entertainment is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and we welcome all qualified applicants to apply to join our team of unique contributors.
