As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We currently have an exciting opportunity for an <strong>Environmental Attendants </strong>to join our <strong>Birthing Unit Operating Room</strong> team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Employment Status:</strong> Part-time<strong>Hours of Work: </strong>Must be available for all rotating shifts (8hr days, evenings and nights) including alternating weekends  - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights.</p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Hennick Humber Hospital, Wilson Site<strong>Labour Group: </strong>NOWU<strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>Manager, Birthing Unit <strong>Hourly Rate: </strong>$27.758 - $28.306</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the Operating Room and PACU.</li>\n <li>Clean and complete changeover process for operating rooms.</li>\n <li>Dusting and damp mopping OR holding area and washrooms.</li>\n <li>Dusting, washing and polishing furniture and fixtures.</li>\n <li>Gathering and disposing of garbage/linen.</li>\n <li>Cleaning isolation room, glass and dispose of body fluids.</li>\n <li>Operating heavy duty equipment ex. Buffer machinery</li>\n <li>Any tasks similar to the above that is determined to be necessary to the functioning of the OR & the Hospital.</li>\n <li>Project work as assigned.</li>\n <li>Working alone and as part of a team in OR</li>\n <li>Assist with stocking Birthing Rooms, PACU</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Grade 12 or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.</li>\n <li>Previous housekeeping experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Operating Room experience is a strong asset.</li>\n <li>Ability to respond to Code White, Blue and Pink.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 35 kg’s).</li>\n <li>Ability to stand for long periods of time.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in fast paced environment</li>\n <li>Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.</li>\n <li>An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
