Position responsibilities will incrementally increase over time and with experience.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Austin, Texas</p><p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> 40 FT Hours</p><p><strong>Compensation Type:</strong> Salary &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Registration(s):</strong> Registered Engineer-In-Training, or working towards an EIT</p><p><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Produce design and construction drawings using information from supervisor, research data, and input from consultants.</li><li>Produce design plans for private development projects and clients. &nbsp;</li><li>Design and drafting of site development projects and offsite improvements; potential for work in other practice areas (public works, transportation) as workload dictates; site work includes grading, drainage, LID).</li><li>Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare plan and profile construction drawings.</li><li>Assist project manager with of design plans, specifications, construction support, cost estimating.</li><li>Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as directed by supervisor.</li><li>Conduct site visits and assist with documenting findings.</li><li>Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes, and assist with general project correspondence.</li><li>Compose and prepare graphic materials for presentations and documents.</li><li>Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic studies, drainage analysis and design, FEMA permitting, and construction documents for a wide range of water resources projects for both public and private clients.</li><li>Analysis and design will include use of HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GIS, XPSWMM, Civil 3D and various drainage tools. Our projects require the application of cutting-edge software and engineering judgment to develop sustainable solutions for our clients.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business process.</li><li>Productively collaborates with others and leads or encourages teams to achieve success and camaraderie amongst each other.</li><li>Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives.
