    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Title: &nbsp;Program Director&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Position Type: &nbsp;Full-Time, Salary Non-Exempt</strong></p><p><strong>Salary: $40,000/yr.</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Description Summary</strong></p><p>The Program Director is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of programs and activities; which encompass the incorporation of character development, age-appropriate and gender-specific programs and activities; while ensuring that cultural diversity educational programs are implemented; including assisting in the planning, implementation, and delivery of exciting and engaging educational activities, and programs for youth ages 6 to 18.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):</strong></p><p>This position&rsquo;s primary responsibilities are:</p><ul><li>Initiate, manage and provide administration of designated programs and activities, posting schedules daily</li><li>Lead the planning of high-quality programming for club members and ensure program goals are met and consistent with organizational goals and mission</li><li>Coordinate extracurricular activities, such as field trips, guest speakers, etc. as outlined in program objectives</li><li>Monitor and maintain regular evaluation reports reflecting activities, attendance, and parent/member participation</li><li>Promote, inspire and motivate youth participation in a variety of program areas/activities</li><li>Initiate innovation and creativity; provide guidance and role modeling to members</li><li>Recognize problem areas and assist in achieving understanding and success</li><li>Demonstrate leadership to ensure a healthy and safe environment, and that facilities, equipment, and supplies are maintained</li><li>Develop partnerships with parents, families, schools, and other Clubs to identify ways to increase Program membership and participation.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor program expenses to ensure they fall within the approved grant budget</li><li>Participate in new member recruiting, orientation, and processing</li><li>Promote a safe environment by ensuring areas are properly cleaned and club equipment is maintained in good condition</li><li>Attend relevant staff meetings and training events</li><li>May participate in additional special programs and/or events</li><li>May be required to drive club van periodically</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Associate&#39;s degree required; Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred</li><li>Minimum of 2 &ndash; 3 years of experience working with youth ages 6 &ndash; 18</li><li>Experience working with schools and community groups is a plus</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including computer operations and Microsoft Office</li><li>Ability to accumulate and analyze data to plan appropriate actions</li><li>Ability to work with the public</li><li>Ability to supervise and motivate youth while managing behavior issues</li><li>Highly developed ability to problem-solve</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Professional presence and appearance</li><li>Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license, proof of insurance, and 3-year clean driving record</li><li>Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>SUPERVISORY</strong>: &nbsp; This position supervises others, under the direction of the Unit Director</p><p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong></p><p>This position generally works M &ndash; F, from 10:00 AM &ndash; 7:00 PM; however, may occasionally require hours outside of this schedule when necessary, including weekends. &nbsp;Work is conducted both indoors and outside.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods, bending and squatting on occasion</li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on occasion</li><li>Ability to hear at a normal conversational level</li><li>Ability to maintain a high energy level when necessary</li><li>High degree of emotional intelligence</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and Drug-Free Workplace.
