We are looking for someone who embraces social media and knows how to consistently engage with audiences across all platforms.&nbsp; The AD also assists with running the Assignment Desk by helping coordinate breaking news coverage and basic newsgathering functions.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Skills &amp; Experience:&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee newscasts, script reviews of producers and reporters for assigned newscasts&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Aggressively lead breaking news and severe weather coverage&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Identify, research and develop daily content</li>\n <li>Compelling and accurate writing, post content to station website and social media sites</li>\n <li>Work closely with news director to carry out news philosophy and direction&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Review daily newscasts to ensure quality control and brand compliancy&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Oversee Special Projects and enterprise coverage</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain contacts and sources to enterprise story ideas</li>\n <li>Maintain efficient operations of the assignment desk</li>\n <li>Other responsibilities as assigned&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Computer knowledge/word processing skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms</li>\n <li>Must have a working knowledge of journalistic ethics, libel, and privacy laws&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Exceptional written communication skills using a conversational writing style&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively, work well under pressure and meet deadlines</li>\n <li>Great people skills with an emphasis on coaching and motivating&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Experience in research, public records requests, etc. is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The base salary compensation range for this role is $86,250 to $115,000.&nbsp; Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
