This individual will be accountable for providing sound financial analysis to support development of business strategies, drawing insights from internal accounting and financial reports, and communicating findings to key stakeholders.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze the Bloomingdale’s expense structure to identify opportunities for cost savings. Bring issues to the forefront with Finance management to exploit opportunities and mitigate risks.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provide analysis throughout the year to identify opportunities to drive sales and overall profit improvement.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Collaborate with internal partners to develop Annual/Seasonal plans. Provide guidance in season to ensure established budgets are achieved.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Consistently analyze, review, and communicate both short term and long-term initiatives.&nbsp; The candidate must understand the obstacles and benefits to implementation of key initiatives and measure success through key KPIs.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Complete the month end financial forecast and close process for portions of assigned expense work centers, including the preparation and documentation of forecasts, journal entries, financial statement review and commentary to senior management highlighting variances to the financial plan.</li>\n <li>Regular, dependable attendance &amp; punctuality.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.</li>\n <li>2+ years of related experience.</li>\n <li>Must be proficient in advanced Excel functionality, Word and PowerPoint.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner.</li>\n <li>Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on maintaining accuracy in all tasks.</li>\n <li>Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><i>This job description is not all inclusive; additionally, Macy’s, Inc. reserves the right to amend this job description at any time.
