Description
Established in 1969, Cigarette Racing has innovative vision and legendary style. Cigarette boats are uniquely hand-crafted in the United States and known globally for power, comfort, and luxury. Our high-level execution and premium quality are second to none and we stay committed to building the finest powerboats and center consoles in the world.
We are seeking a dependable and detail oriented Finisher to join our production support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying the final finishing touches to boat surfaces, ensuring a smooth, polished, and visually appealing product. This role requires expertise in sanding, buffing, painting, and polishing, as well as a strong understanding of boat construction and attention to detail.
Sand, buff, and smooth the surfaces of boats to prepare them for painting or finishing. Ensure the removal of any imperfections such as scratches, dents, or blemishes. Apply various finishes, such as gel coats, paints, varnishes, and protective coatings, ensuring smooth, even coverage and long-lasting durability. Install final components such as cleats, trims, railings, and hardware. Ensure that all pieces are securely fitted and meet quality standards. Inspect finished boats for any defects or inconsistencies in appearance, function, or finish. Ensure all work adheres to specifications and industry standards. Clean and polish boats to achieve a high-gloss, showroom-quality finish. Detail interiors and exteriors to meet company and customer standards. Perform minor repairs and touch-ups to fix any imperfections in the finishes or surface, including fiberglass or gel coat repairs. Maintain and safely operate finishing tools, such as sanders, grinders, and spray equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition. Work in conjunction with other boat builders, technicians, and quality inspectors to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
This list is not exhaustive, and responsibilities may be subject to adjustment based on the evolving needs of the business.
