Description
HumanTouch is seeking a Tier 1 Help Desk Specialist to work part-time on-call with a Navy customer in Patuxent River, MD. This specialist will be responsible for providing Tier 1 support services and serve as the entry point for Navy NAVAIR customers by receiving, recording, resolving and/or escalating requests for service.
This position includes training and mentoring, and provides the opportunity to gain experience and learn new technical skills working with Navy customers. Combined with the opportunity to obtain a Secret clearance, this position offers a stepping stone to potential new and advanced long-term opportunities. Working part time in this role, you are able to earn income while having the flexibility to pursue higher education for a degree or desired certification. It also provides the opportunity to earn supplemental income to cover expenses or save to buy new items on your bucket list.
Responsibilities Include:
Participate in Tier 1 Help Desk Specialist training program. Receive and record, track, resolve and/or escalate all customer inquiries or requests for service. Follow all processes and procedures related to call handling, call escalation, data capturing, closure and follow up procedures. Communicate with customers to provide status, feedback, or general information regarding their request or inquiry for service. Close all resolved incidents or requests as required. Conduct customer satisfaction call backs and record results. Monitor trends in problems and questions. Seek opportunities to improve support and training processes. Skills and Experience:
Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Strong organizational skills. Microsoft Office Suite experience. Help Desk experience desired. Basic computer and IT knowledge desired. Education, Certification, and other Requirements:
High school diploma and 0-2 years of experience required. Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance or a favorable Non-NISP Background investigation.
