Manufacturing Engineers are a core component of the engineering team, serving as the technical authority for design for manufacturability and for transitioning best in class products into mass production. Manufacturing Engineers work closely with other Engineers, Program Managers, Assembly Operations, Machinists, Quality Engineers, external partners, and the customers to ensure Wilcox is delivering a product that our customer can trust his/her life with.<br><br><strong>Roles & Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>May act as a liaison between mechanical engineers and machinists, as well as other key members of operations throughout the product development process.</li><li>Supports the development of team members by providing constructive technical feedback.</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to receive and act on constructive feedback.</li><li>Assists in the preparation of prototypes, and documents viable assembly processes during engineering builds.</li><li>Conducts hands-on testing in laboratory or field settings to evaluate the performance, durability, and functionality of systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.</li><li>Identifies any design flaws during testing and helps refine solutions.</li><li>Identifies areas for improvement in assembly and manufacturing processes.</li><li>Works with senior engineers to implement process changes and improvements.</li><li>Conducts time and motion studies to optimize workflows.</li><li>Ensures manufacturability and ease of assembly in the design process.</li><li>Assists in diagnosing and resolving issues in production lines.</li><li>Provides technical support to the production team to minimize downtime.</li><li>Collects and analyze process data to monitor performance.</li><li>Uses statistical tools to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for efficiency gains.</li><li>Assists in the training of operators on new processes or equipment.</li><li>Helps monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.</li><li>Maintains organized records of design changes, testing results, and engineering decisions for future reference and traceability.</li><li>Prepares engineering documentation such as drawings, root cause/ corrective action documents, and technical reports.</li><li>Performs other duties as directed.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications and Requirements:<br>Education & Experience:</strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing) or equivalent experience.</li></ul><strong>Required Skills/Abilities:</strong><ul><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Proficient in the use of SolidWorks to design complex systems.</li><li>Ability to conduct and document root cause / corrective action.</li><li>Ability to document test results and write a conclusion statement.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.</li><li>Hands-on experience with prototype fabrication and testing.</li><li>Good interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Basic understanding of the product development process.</li><li>Basic understanding of GD&T.</li><li>Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.</li><li>US Person</li></ul><strong>Preferred Skills/Abilities:</strong><ul><li>Experience with military standards, specifically MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-810.</li><li>Experience with laser systems, night vision/imaging systems, or target location systems.</li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong><ul><li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally, for handling parts and prototypes.</li><li>Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.</li><li>Ability to perform physical tests and handle tools/equipment used for prototyping</li><li>Regular on-site attendance is a necessary function of this position.<span style=\"font-size:10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Eurostile LT Std', sans-serif;\"> </span></span></li></ul><p style=\\\"text-align: center;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-size:12px\\\"><span style=\\\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\\\"><strong>Wilcox provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristics protected by federal, state or local laws.</strong></span></span></p>\n\n<p style=\\\"text-align: center;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-size:12px\\\"><span style=\\\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\\\"><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.</strong></span></span></p>",
