We are competent, capable, and we invest in our people and in our processes to ensure we continue to grow and do our best work every day. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>What's the job?</span></p>\n<p>We are currently recruiting for a<span> </span><span>Maintenance Technician for second (2nd) OR third (3rd) shift </span>who will carry out repairs and maintenance activities minimizing production downtime. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Role and Responsibilities</span>:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out electrical and/or mechanical repairs and inspections as required to ensure equipment runs reliably in production.</li>\n<li><span>Install new machinery, overhaul equipment and rebuild and fabricate parts as required.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Consistently maintain company safety and cleanliness standards in the </span>production environment.</li>\n<li><span>Assist maintenance personnel with plant maintenance as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span>Liaise with outside contractors as necessary.</span></li>\n<li>Training, instruction and supervision of apprentices including carrying out reviews of Apprentice performance, ensuring that Apprentices get experience in all aspects of their trade.<br></li>\n<li><span>As assigned by the supervisor or manager, must be licensed and certified to drive a forklift within Mergon Corporation.</span><br>\n<ul></ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications and Experience</span>:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>High School Diploma or GED preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably in automotive and/or plastics environment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience working with CNC machines, Mills, Lathes, Welding, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong teamwork, electrical, and mechanical skills.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong communication skills.</span></li>\n</ul>",
