The Junior Cabling Installation Technician primary responsibilities will be to perform the installation of premise network cabling systems. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Install, label and test premise cabling, connections, patch panels, equipment enclosures/cabinets, cable tray, Protective Distribution System (PDS) conduit, and associated hardware. </li>\n <li>Updating cable run sheets and other documentation as required.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret system installation drawings and design packages and apply that knowledge to cabling installations. </li>\n <li>Install LC, MTRJ, SC and RJ45 connector termination and test fiber-optic and copper cabling systems. </li>\n <li>Labeling of cables and associated hardware according to standards and cable run sheets. </li>\n <li>Install various types of cable tray, Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) and EMT conduit up to 4 inches. Able to fusion splice fiber optic cable.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Eligibility to obtain a government security clearance.</li>\n <li>Ability to travel as needed to meet project requirements.</li>\n <li>A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the installation of copper and fiber-optic cable plants is required</li>\n <li>Must be highly proficient in the installation and test of premise cabling, connections, patch cords, patch panels, equipment enclosures/cabinets, cable tray, PDS conduit, and associated hardware.</li>\n <li>Possess a demonstrated ability in reading and interpreting system installation drawings and design packages and applying that knowledge to the cabling installation while promoting a safe work environment and implementing safe work practices.</li>\n <li>Must be proficient in the proper handling, installation, of LC, MTRJ, SC and RJ45 connector termination and testing of fiber-optic and copper cabling systems.</li>\n <li>Must be proficient in the installation of various types of cable tray, PDS, and EMT conduit up to 4 inches.</li>\n <li>Possess experience with access points, repeaters, data center, computer lab, Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), direct access storage drive, mainframe, open systems and switches/routers.</li>\n <li>Must possess a valid Driver’s License</li>\n <li>Must have the following required certifications:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must be confined space certified for outside plant installations</li>\n   <li>Permit-Required Confined Spaces Certification</li>\n   <li>Forklift Certification</li>\n   <li>Aerial and Scissor Lifts</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Installer 1 (INST1), BICSI Installer 2, Copper (INSTC) and BICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber (INSTF) certification are highly desirable.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This is a talent pipeline opening.  </strong><strong>We are building a network of qualified talent for general consideration of future job openings. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>GLOTECH, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>",
