This position reports to Manager of Commissioning and is located remotely with heavy travel. <br>As a Commissioning Technician, you will be responsible for supervising project completion. You will run tests on equipment and may need to perform repairs before system is commissioned.<br><br><strong>Duties & Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Conduct commissioning and startup of CNG compressor equipment, including, but not limited to, compressors, dryers, dispensers, fueling lines, motor starters, and various other equipment.</li><li>Ensure CNG equipment is installed with proper construction practices and per NFPA code</li><li>Must be a safety leader, safety advocate and be able to train others in proper safety procedures.</li><li>Diagnose and test electrical systems for continuity of circuits and phases in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as digital volt/ohm meters.</li><li>Diagnose and test malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and instrument components, utilizing equipment manuals, test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a failure and make necessary repairs.</li><li>Ensure that all station equipment, including safety devices, are functioning properly, and report any equipment failures to the supervisor.</li><li>Document commissioning actions daily by completing forms, reports, and logs.</li><li>Provide a closeout punch list during pre-commissioning in preparation for startup of equipment.  </li><li>Ensures good housekeeping practices of all equipment, tools, work areas and fueling station. </li><li>Oversee or assist others on site or over the phone with diagnosis and repairs.</li><li>Plan equipment commissioning projects that include parts & parts ordering, or third-party contractor scheduling.</li><li>Provide customer training on equipment operation, vehicle refueling and emergency procedures.</li><li>Inspect electrical equipment utilizing thermal imaging equipment and other hand tools.</li><li>Perform diagnostics on motors, soft starters, dispensers, dryers, and control systems.</li><li>Provide advanced technical support to team members and customers.</li><li>24 Hour on-call status required.</li><li>Respond to emergency calls and preventative maintenance calls in an organized manner.</li><li>Responsible for booking all travel and tracking all expenses.</li></ul><br><strong> Qualifications and Skills</strong><ul><li>Ten plus years of industrial, automotive or HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.</li><li>Five plus years of CNG experience preferred.</li><li>HS Diploma or Equivalent.</li><li>Ability to oversee or assist others in diagnosis, testing or repairs.</li><li>Coursework in industrial mechanics and/or electricity preferred.</li><li>Good communication skills (written and verbal for reporting purposes); attention to detail.</li><li>Must be able to lift 60 lbs.</li><li>Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office products required.</li><li>Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.</li><li>Ability to travel often (75%).</li></ul><br><strong>Work Hours and Arrangements</strong><br>Standard Monday – Friday, 1st shift (40-hours); hours may fluctuate, based upon customer demand.  Must be able to work overtime as needed and accommodate 75% travel.<br><br><strong>Pay</strong><br>The range for this role is anticipated to be $40.00 -$45.00 hourly with bonus for eligible positions. Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.  The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market / business considerations, and geographic location.<br><br><strong>Physical requirements</strong><br>The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
