Position Summary We are hiring for a Commissioning Technician with at least ten years of experience to work in our Service department. This position reports to Manager of Commissioning and is located remotely with heavy travel. As a Commissioning Technician, you will be responsible for supervising project completion. You will run tests on equipment and may need to perform repairs before system is commissioned. Duties & Responsibilities Conduct commissioning and startup of CNG compressor equipment, including, but not limited to, compressors, dryers, dispensers, fueling lines, motor starters, and various other equipment. Ensure CNG equipment is installed with proper construction practices and per NFPA code Must be a safety leader, safety advocate and be able to train others in proper safety procedures. Diagnose and test electrical systems for continuity of circuits and phases in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as digital volt/ohm meters. Diagnose and test malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and instrument components, utilizing equipment manuals, test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a failure and make necessary repairs. Ensure that all station equipment, including safety devices, are functioning properly, and report any equipment failures to the supervisor. Document commissioning actions daily by completing forms, reports, and logs. Provide a closeout punch list during pre-commissioning in preparation for startup of equipment.   Ensures good housekeeping practices of all equipment, tools, work areas and fueling station.  Oversee or assist others on site or over the phone with diagnosis and repairs. Plan equipment commissioning projects that include parts & parts ordering, or third-party contractor scheduling. Provide customer training on equipment operation, vehicle refueling and emergency procedures. Inspect electrical equipment utilizing thermal imaging equipment and other hand tools. Perform diagnostics on motors, soft starters, dispensers, dryers, and control systems. Provide advanced technical support to team members and customers. 24 Hour on-call status required. Respond to emergency calls and preventative maintenance calls in an organized manner. Responsible for booking all travel and tracking all expenses.  Qualifications and Skills Ten plus years of industrial, automotive or HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Five plus years of CNG experience preferred. HS Diploma or Equivalent. Ability to oversee or assist others in diagnosis, testing or repairs. Coursework in industrial mechanics and/or electricity preferred. Good communication skills (written and verbal for reporting purposes); attention to detail. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office products required. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to travel often (75%). Work Hours and Arrangements Standard Monday – Friday, 1st shift (40-hours); hours may fluctuate, based upon customer demand.  Must be able to work overtime as needed and accommodate 75% travel. Pay The range for this role is anticipated to be $40.00 -$45.00 hourly with bonus for eligible positions. Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.  The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market / business considerations, and geographic location. Physical requirements The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
