text-decoration: underline\">Responsibilities: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program clients.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Provide direct assistance throughout day by means of:</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">eating with clients at meals and snack times</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">monitoring bathroom use for eating disordered behaviors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">observing and supporting clients during breaks and transitions in programming  </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Assist staff dietitians with tasks related to client care, including preparing food/meals/snacks, eating with clients, doing dishes, grocery shopping with clients, cleaning/tidying kitchen, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Assist staff therapists with tasks related to client care, including co-facilitating various therapy groups, offering therapeutic support to clients during meals, and doing 1:1 brief support check-ins, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Maintain clinical documentation and other administrative tasks required for competent care</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Collaborate with other members of a dynamic, multidisciplinary treatment team</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Help with training new milieu staff</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px; text-decoration: underline\">Requirements: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">An Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or working towards bachelor’s degree.  Emphasis in the study of Psychology desired but not required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Must be able to obtain an Agency Affiliated Counselor/CAAR or equivalent license within 90 days of hire (Opal pays for this)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience and/or understanding of eating disorders is highly desired; experience in other mental health field beneficial.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Exhibit a high degree of confidentiality and personal boundary setting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Openness to learn new skills and take risks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Able to address conflict with directness and compassion.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be assertive in the interest of client’s treatment needs </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Comfortable with basics of nutrition, ie meal planning, basic cooking skills, grocery shopping, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience using cultural humility interpersonally around topics such as food, health, weight, religion, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Live, behave and talk in a way that reflects a non-diet, non-weight biased relationship with food and body.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Alignment with a Health at Every Size and a weight-inclusive approach to healthcare.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px; text-decoration: underline\">Hours: </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Between 7am - 5pm Monday-Friday.   Shifts are variable.  More details able to be shared via application process.  Hours would be determined at time of hire.  As of June 2026 we are hiring on-call positions only which could provide 0-5 shifts per week, depending on the week.  Shifts are usually assigned/accepted about a week prior to date.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px; text-decoration: underline\">Vaccines: </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">All Opal staff are required to be fully vaccinated with either a two-shot series of an mRNA vaccine or the one-shot J&amp;J vaccine, along with a booster of an mRNA vaccine and Bivalent covid vaccination by December 15, 2022 (if it has been the recommended length of time from your last vaccination). As the CDC updates its recommendation on boosters, we ask our staff to comply with the most current recommendations regarding vaccinations and boosters.   Annual flu shots are required by December 15th of each year.
