With supportive leadership, collaborative teams, and opportunities to grow, GUARD is a place where people build meaningful, long‑term careers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Good Things You Can Count On.</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hybrid schedule: 2 days remote / 3 in‑office</li>\n <li>Predictable hours (no nights, weekends, or holidays)</li>\n <li>Competitive pay + generous PTO</li>\n <li>Medical, dental & vision starting day one</li>\n <li>401(k), tuition reimbursement & longevity bonuses</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is seeking a Complex Liability Adjuster to handle Commercial General Liability (CGL) and Business Owners Policy (BOP) claims in California, including litigated files.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Investigate California liability claims and determine coverage and liability</li>\n <li>Review evidence, reports, and medical records to evaluate damages and set reserves</li>\n <li>Interview insureds, claimants, and witnesses</li>\n <li>Work with defense counsel and legal teams to manage litigated claims</li>\n <li>Manage CGL and BOP claims, including coordination with counsel and case progression</li>\n <li>Process indemnity and expense payments</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate claim documentation and support claim resolution</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience handling Commercial General Liability claims in California, including litigated claims</li>\n <li>JD preferred, or bachelor’s degree with experience adjusting liability claims</li>\n <li>Active Texas All Lines License, or ability to obtain</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple claims</li>\n <li>Experience using claims systems and standard business tools</li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Salary $75,000 - $120,000</strong></p>\n<p><strong>In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good</strong><strong>‐faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This role may be based out of one of the following locations:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Scottsdale, AZ; Rancho Cordova, CA; and Plano, TX</strong></p>",
