    "description": "<p>Better Living Health and Community Services has an opening for the position of a Home Cleaner (Home Support Worker). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clients with in-home light cleaning.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The successful candidate for this position must possess the following qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.</li>\n<li>Ability to read, write and orally communicate in English.</li>\n<li>Ability to use cleaning equipment.</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently.</li>\n<li>Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police station, within 6 weeks of offer of<br>employment.</li>\n<li>Must be available within Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Catchment area:</span> Bayview to McCowan, Sheppard to South of the Danforth<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The successful candidate for this position must be able to:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform light housekeeping tasks in Client’s home as specified in the Service Plan, tasks may include; vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, laundry and changing bed linen, cleaning washroom, kitchen, other living areas, etc.</li>\n<li>Provide grocery shopping services as requested.</li>\n<li>Conduct Home Hazard Safety Assessment as required to ensure safety of self and</li>\n<li>Clients and report all health and safety concerns to the Supervisor, In-Home Services.</li>\n<li>Adhere to the In-Home Services Program policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Operate cleaning equipment/machinery, such as vacuums.</li>\n<li>Communicate efficiently with the In-Home Services Department.</li>\n<li>Document in a clear and concise manner all duties performed.</li>\n<li>Access to a smart phone (with data) required.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>COVID-19 policy: To ensure the utmost safety of the clients and long-term care residents we serve, Better<br>Living continues to abide by a mandatory vaccine policy.
