We’re hiring a nationwide Business Development Manager to help us build and win in this market. This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys opening doors, learning a market, shaping a sales motion, and turning early traction into repeatable growth. This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S. Role: Business Development Manager, Healthcare Providers You’ll be responsible for winning new business from hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, and other healthcare provider organizations. You’ll identify where logistics creates pain, build relationships with the right stakeholders, and position Mercury’s services as a reliable solution for critical healthcare shipments. This is a new-market growth role. You’ll be expected to hunt, test messaging, build a pipeline, learn quickly, and help Mercury develop a repeatable approach to selling into provider-based healthcare. What you’ll do • Build a national pipeline of healthcare provider prospects, including hospitals, health systems, specialty pharmacies, clinics, and care networks • Source new opportunities through outbound calls, email, networking, referrals, conferences, LinkedIn, and partner channels • Identify buyer personas and decision-makers across operations, supply chain, pharmacy, lab, clinical, procurement, and executive teams • Run discovery to understand shipment types, urgency, compliance needs, pain points, current vendors, and decision criteria • Position Mercury’s services across courier, parcel, next flight out, cold chain, and specialty logistics solutions • Build trust with complex healthcare organizations and manage longer, multi-stakeholder sales cycles • Partner with operations, pricing, marketing, and leadership to design solutions that fit customer needs • Hit and exceed sales targets while helping Mercury expand into a strategic growth market What you bring • Strong outbound sales instincts and comfort building pipeline from scratch • Proven success opening new accounts and managing complex sales cycles • Ability to uncover pain, map stakeholders, and drive consensus across multiple departments • Curiosity and discipline to learn a new market and refine the sales approach • Clear, professional communication with healthcare and executive-level buyers • Comfort selling services where reliability, urgency, and trust matter • Coachability, persistence, and a high sense of ownership Requirements • 5+ years of B2B sales experience within healthcare, supply chain, pharmacy services, medical devices, diagnostics, or related fields • Experience selling into hospitals, health systems, pharmacies, clinics, or provider organizations preferred • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals • Ability to travel nationally for customer meetings, conferences, and strategic opportunities as needed Why Mercury • Mission-driven work supporting healthcare, life sciences, clinicians, and patients • A stable, profitable company with startup-level growth opportunities • The opportunity to help build a new national market segment from the ground up • High ownership, direct access to leadership, and room to shape the company • Services that solve real operational problems for customers doing meaningful work If you’re energized by building pipeline, opening new markets, winning complex deals, and serving healthcare customers who need logistics they can trust, we’d love to talk.
