If hired, you will work with a close-knit team responsible for maintaining and operating a state-of-the-art KBA Commander CL press that produces Times Union and numerous commercial print publications in a high-quality and cost-effective manner, seven days a week.</p><p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>5-10 years of web offset newspaper or commercial printing experience.</li><li>Able to produce high-quality print results on a consistent basis.</li><li>Detail oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines and customer expectations.</li><li>Well-developed verbal communication skills.</li><li>Fluency with computerized press controls and operator interfaces.</li><li>Technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude for newspaper printing operations, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Hours</u>:&nbsp; </strong>Primarily evenings&nbsp;and weekend evenings,&nbsp;but hours can vary based on training and production needs.</p><p><strong><u>Pay:&nbsp;</u>&nbsp;</strong>This is a union position with an hourly journeyman rate of $37.39.</p><p><strong><u>Sign-on Bonus:</u></strong> Receive $500.00 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months of satisfactory employment.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>The Times Union is located in New York's Capital Region.
