The Diesel Truck Technician performs light / medium duty diesel truck mechanical and warranty repairs, in-fleeting and vehicle certification and reconditioning services according to company policy and procedures. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative.  Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards. Enterprise Mobility and its affiliates offer extensive car rental, carsharing, truck rental, fleet management, retail car sales, as well as travel management and other transportation services, to make travel easier and more convenient for customers.  </p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>Privately held by the Taylor family of St. Louis, Enterprise Mobility together with its affiliate Enterprise Fleet Management manages a diverse fleet of 2.4 million vehicles and accounted for nearly $38 billion in revenue through a network of more than 9,500 fully-staffed neighborhood and airport rental locations in more than 90 countries and territories. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure that all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.</li>\n <li>Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs.</li>\n <li>Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret diagnostic test results, often by using dials, gauges, and other computer equipment.</li>\n <li>Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.</li>\n <li>Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles.</li>\n <li>Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.</li>\n <li>Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.</li>\n <li>Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.</li>\n <li>Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.</li>\n <li>May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.</li>\n <li>Participate in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training.</li>\n <li>Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards. </li>\n <li>Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality</li>\n <li>Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li>\n <li>Minimum of two years of mechanical experience working on buses or medium duty trucks.</li>\n <li>4+ current and valid ASEs certifications are required (at least 2 must be Truck)</li>\n <li>Ownership of standard hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance on current vehicles</li>\n <li>High School Diploma / G.E.D. preferred. </li>\n <li>Degree in Automotive Technology, Completion of Automotive Technical College or Technical/vocational training preferred. </li>\n <li>Must have a current and valid drivers license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record with in the past 3 years.</li>\n <li>No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 3 years (DUI/DWI).</li>\n <li>Subject to a pre-employment drug test and if hired, will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.</li>\n <li>Ability to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment.</li>\n <li>Must be able understand, read, write, and speak English.</li>\n <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.</li>\n <li>Applicants will be required to submit an appropriate medical examiner's certificate, or submit to and successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
