This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Details</span></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Employment Type:</span> PRN (as needed)</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Shift:</span> 12-hour Day Shifts (1st shift; schedule varies)</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Department:</span> Laboratory Services</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel:</span> None required</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supervisory Responsibilities:</span> None</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span> Commensurate with experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform moderate- and high-complexity laboratory testing in areas including:\n<ul>\n<li>Hematology and Coagulation</li>\n<li>Chemistry</li>\n<li>Urinalysis</li>\n<li>Microbiology</li>\n<li>Blood Bank</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, processing, and reporting</li>\n<li>Maintain quality control procedures, calibration, and equipment performance</li>\n<li>Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve testing discrepancies</li>\n<li>Report critical values promptly and accurately in accordance with protocols</li>\n<li>Assist with phlebotomy as needed</li>\n<li>Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards</li>\n<li>Document results accurately and in a timely manner</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications</span></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Certification:</span> Eligible for or certified as one of the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT – ASCP or AMT)</li>\n<li>Medical Technologist (MT – ASCP, AMT, or HEW)</li>\n<li>Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS – NCA, ASMT, or equivalent)</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span> Appropriate laboratory education and training in accordance with federal and state guidelines</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Certification Requirement:</span> CPR certification required or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional:</span> Must be eligible for MLT certification within twelve (12) months if not already certified</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core Competencies</span></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities</li>\n<li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Effective communication and teamwork</li>\n<li>Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Employment Requirements</span></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)</li>\n<li>Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits</span></span></span></p>\n<p>PRN employees are eligible for select benefits in accordance with hospital policy.
