This role owns internal Credit Union level messaging across multiple channels and ensures consistency, clarity, and alignment with organizational priorities. This is a generalist communications role with accountability for all team forums and internal events where messaging and engagement are central. The role partners closely with the Marketing team to align internal and external narratives while maintaining a strong internal voice. The Internal Communications Specialist serves as a trusted partner to leaders and teams, balancing strategic thinking with hands on execution. What you’ll do Own the development and execution of internal communications strategies aligned to organizational priorities. Plan and deliver clear, timely, and engaging internal communications across a variety of channels. Serve as the primary owner of all organization wide team forums including town halls and all hands meetings. Develop agendas, messaging frameworks, talking points, scripts, presentations, and follow up communications for team forums. Lead messaging for internal events tied to team member engagement, culture, and recognition. Partner with leaders and stakeholders to translate complex information into clear internal messages. Advise leaders on communication approach, tone, and channel selection. Manage and optimize internal communication channels such as intranet, email, collaboration tools, video, and live forums. What you’ll bring Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Five or more years of experience in internal or corporate communications Experience using a wide range of communication channels. Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage stakeholders and build trust. High attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess communication impact.
