    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Position is responsible for providing a secure environment and reducing public safety risks in the college campus.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Protect persons and property from unlawful activities and provide a safe and secure campus environment.</li>\n <li>Observe/report unlawful/ unauthorized activities. Identify suspicious people, behaviors and circumstances that may pose a public safety risk and take immediate and appropriate action to prevent incidents.</li>\n <li>Patrol campus/buildings. Monitor building conditions and respond to unsafe conditions, hazards and emergency situations. Follow safety guidelines. Respond to public safety alarms and assist with lockouts.</li>\n <li>Enforce parking regulations, give directions and respond to requests for assistance and information.</li>\n <li>Handle special assignments directed by the Public Safety Director/Supervisors such as driving the campus shuttle between locations on a regular or intermittent basis, special events, reception/visitor building posts and working in command office as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Highschool Diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>NYS Security Certification</li>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License</li>\n <li>Minimum of two years in a professional environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic computer skills</li>\n <li>AED knowledge</li>\n <li>Fire Alarm System knowledge</li>\n <li>Customer relations</li>\n <li>Verbal and written communication</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $21.00/Hr.\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $26.00/Hr.",
