This position focuses on producing precise shop, assembly, and erection drawings for structural steel and miscellaneous metals.</p><p>The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in steel detailing, and comfortable collaborating with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure accuracy from design through fabrication.</p><hr><h3><strong>What You’ll Be Responsible For</strong></h3><ul><li>Develop shop and erection drawings for structural steel and miscellaneous metal projects</li><li>Analyze architectural, structural, and contract drawings to define fabrication needs</li><li>Generate material takeoffs, bolt lists, cut lists, and bills of materials</li><li>Revise drawings based on RFIs, redlines, and field updates</li><li>Work closely with engineers, PMs, fabricators, and field crews to resolve detailing issues</li><li>Ensure all drawings meet AISC standards and project specifications</li><li>Maintain organized documentation and track project progress to meet deadlines</li><li>Provide support to shop and field teams as needed</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required (technical degree in CAD, Drafting, or Engineering Technology preferred)</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural steel detailing or similar drafting role</li><li>Strong proficiency in CAD/modeling software such as <strong>Tekla Structures, SDS/2, AutoCAD</strong>, or similar</li><li>Ability to interpret complex blueprints and structural drawings</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></h3><ul><li>Experience with 3D modeling workflows (Tekla or similar platforms)</li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting</li><li>Understanding of fabrication processes, erection sequencing, and steel industry standards</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></h3><ul><li>Salary range: $65K – $85K depending on experience</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) plan</li><li>Paid time off (PTO)</li></ul><hr><p>This is a great opportunity to join a stable fabrication company and play a key role in delivering high-quality structural steel projects from concept through production.<br><br>INDH</p>",
