Humber River Health will be one of the occupying hospitals at this site and as such, we are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our newly designated Alternative Level of Care (ALC) facility. Employee Status: Part Time Hourly Rate Range: $41.15 - $58.98 Schedule Requirements: 8 and 12 hour rotating shifts, days, nights, evenings and week-ends Reporting Relationship: Manager, Church Reactivation Care Centre Employee Group: ONA Location: Reactivation Care Centre – Church site (subject to change) Position Responsibilities: Registered Nurse (RN) responsibilities. Care planning and coordination of care with interdisciplinary team members. Utilization of computerized systems for patient care documentation. Participation in project teams or hospital committees as required. Resource/team leader responsibilities. Mentorship of new hires and pre-grad nursing students. Qualifications: Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Current BCLS or demonstrated competency required. 2 years of recent acute medicine and senior’s care experience. Critical thinking and prioritization skills required. Demonstrated excellent physical assessment skills required. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, solve problems with evidence-based decision making practices and resolve conflicts in a timely and efficient manner. Proven experience promoting family centered care with patient/family teaching skills. Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, patients, family members and visitors. Excellent interpersonal and organization skills with an ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. Basic computer skills required. Knowledge of community resources. Excellent attendance and discipline free record required. An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
