We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members. • Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team of experts and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Provide advanced patient care in the Emergency Department, supporting both routine and critical care situations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) interventions and emergency response procedures.</p></li>\n <li><p>Perform patient assessments including triage, collecting medical history, and evaluating physical and psychosocial needs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced pharmacological treatments within scope of practice.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support advanced procedures including airway management, ventilator support, and trauma care.</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to implement and adjust patient care plans.</p></li>\n <li><p>Document patient care and treatments accurately in the electronic health record.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide education to patients and families regarding treatments, procedures, and discharge instructions.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support team development by mentoring new staff, assisting with training, and participating in professional growth opportunities.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of an accredited Paramedic Program with a Critical Care Paramedic Endorsement through the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH)</li>\n <li>Minimum of three years’ experience on a paramedic ground ambulance service or related experience.</li>\n <li>Possess a current a Paramedic license in the State of Iowa with a Critical Care Paramedic Endorsement.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Three to five years’ experience on a paramedic ground ambulance service or related experience.</li>\n</ul>",
