About the Role
As our Senior/Head Talent Acquisition Manager , you will play a vital role in supporting the people who make Preface possible. We see this as a partnership role rather than a standard recruitment function - you will be focused on finding new team mates who are the right fit for our culture and helping others grow. Your work will focus on two core areas: helping us thoughtfully expand our internal teams across our global hubs and nurturing the growth of our teaching and creator community. We are looking for someone who values genuine connection and is eager to help us find the practitioners and "tech-enablers" who will shape the future of tech knowledge.
We are looking for a high-energy "builder" who understands that the future of education and access to knowledge is decentralised. You will work with high-calibre internal talent to drive our company forward while simultaneously scouting the brightest teachers and content creators to join our external ecosystem. You thrive on the challenge of finding the "un-findable" and enjoy the rapid prototyping of new ways to engage talent in an AI-driven landscape.
What You'll Be Doing
Internal Expansion
Drive the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for our core Product and Business teams, ensuring every hire is aligned with our AI-native culture and humble "builder" mentality.
Partner with department heads and conduct interviews that are rigorous, efficient, and reflect Preface’s culture and commitment to tech excellence.
Develop a robust internal talent pipeline that anticipates future needs, allowing us to scale our Hong Kong, Singapore, London operations with agility.
Teaching & Creator Community Building
Develop a sourcing strategy to attract top-tier tech experts, teachers, industry practitioners, and digital creators to join our teaching ecosystem.
Build and nurture a "Creator Community" of subject matter experts who can translate complex tech trends into digestible, high-impact learning experiences.
Facilitate the onboarding and community engagement of our external educators, ensuring they feel integrated into the Preface mission and empowered to deliver world-class content.
Requirements
AI Native Curiosity: You are fascinated by AI and already use it to augment your daily work; you see AI as a partner in finding and vetting talent.
The Growth Mindset: You don't just "fill roles"; you build teams. You are humble, resilient, adaptable, and always looking for a better way to do things.
Technical Foundations: Strong experience recruiting for technical roles (Software Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science) and a deep understanding of the creator economy.
Relevant Experience: 6-8+ years in Talent Acquisition, ideally within a high-growth tech startup or a community-centric platform.
Communication Skills: Exceptional command of English is a must. Proficiency in Cantonese is a strong bonus for collaborating with our local community in Hong Kong.
Global Perspective: Ability to navigate and hire across diverse markets and cultures with ease.
