We provide a free vehicle parking and retrieval program at VA Medical locations for Military Veteran patients. VetPride Services gives preference on hiring Veterans and military personnel.</p><p><strong>Shift(s):&nbsp;</strong>Monday-Friday, On-call</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Jesse Brown Veteran Hospital, 820 S. Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60611</p><p><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Greet valet customers in a pro manner upon their arrival/departure.</li><li>Open doors, assist customers as needed with wheelchair or walker.</li><li>Provide directions as needed.</li><li>Perform valet area access control responsibilities.</li><li>Safely operate various vehicles types to/from the valet areas.</li><li>Closely inspect all vehicles for damage and record findings on valet ticket.</li><li>Secure all vehicles and return key tag and keys to the valet podium.</li><li>Follow safe driving procedure and safety protocols at all times.</li><li>Abide by all rules and regulations set by the VA.</li><li>Report to duty in company issued uniform; personal hygiene and a professional appearance is expected at all times.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>Will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background and DMV check.</li><li>Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.</li><li>Regularly work outdoors in inclement weather including rain, snow, heat and cold.</li><li>Must possess strong customer service skills and the ability to respond calmly and professionally when handling conflict.</li><li>Consistent attendance and reliability required.</li><li>Ability to understand, speak, and write basic English.</li><li>Regularly stand for long periods (6-8 hours) and walk quickly.</li><li>Ability to lift to 30 pounds.</li><li>Must have the ability to work independently and within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others.</li><li>Valid Driver&#39;s License.</li><li>Basic technical capabilities and computer skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>1-year experience driving manual and automatic transmissions.</li><li>Valet experience preferred, but not required.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and STD Insurance</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Sick Leave</li><li>Paid Federal Holidays Off</li><li>Retention Bonuses</li><li>Weekends Off</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n<br/>Monday-Friday, On-call",
