This role ensures that deliveries are made on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Logistics &amp; Operations Management</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Plan, coordinate, and oversee the transportation of aggregates to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Accept and confirm customer orders.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Manage a fleet of trucks and drivers, ensuring optimal routing and scheduling.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor transportation costs and implement cost-saving measures.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work closely with suppliers, dispatch teams, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor and approve time cards for aggregate haul drivers in ADP.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in planning meetings to support production schedules, customer demand, and operational priorities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide transportation-related reporting, metrics, and analysis to management as needed.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Compliance &amp; Safety</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and other transportation laws.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Enforce company safety policies, including driver training and vehicle maintenance standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct safety audits with Robar Safety Manager and implement corrective measures when necessary.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure outside haulers have required documentation (insurance, drug testing, CARB).</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Fleet &amp; Equipment Management</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Coordinate with Fleet Manager on vehicle maintenance and repair schedules to ensure fleet reliability.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Recommend fleet upgrades or replacements to improve efficiency.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Team Leadership &amp; Communication</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with driver recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Promote positive employee relations and maintain effective communication with transportation staff.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve operations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with production, sales, and dispatch teams to align transportation with business needs.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum of 5 years of transportation, logistics, fleet management, or aggregate industry experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation safety requirements, and fleet operations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with dispatching, route planning, payroll systems, and transportation management software.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ADP or similar payroll systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p>\n",
