    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Shift</strong></p>\n<p>3rd Shift / 10pm to 6:30am / Sunday to Thursday - Additional days or overtime as required to complete the daily demands          </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Pay</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Base Pay Rate</strong>: $25.57 / hour - $28.38 / hour</p>\n<p><strong>Shift Differential: </strong>$0.50</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>About the Role:</u></strong></p>\n<p>As a core member of our Quality Assurance<em> </em>team, you will be expected to: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform, determine, apply and test procedures or processes of standard and non-standard tests.</li>\n <li><p>Use methods and concepts of chemistry/microbiology to test, analyze & locate operational / customer concerns and recommend corrective action.</p></li>\n <li>Participate in plant inspection programs.</li>\n <li><p> Support the production of safe, high quality products and team member safety.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>As your employer, Perry’s will help you to achieve all of the above goals through feedback, education, and continuous professional development.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>What We’re Looking For:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Education/Experience:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent AND</li>\n   <li>Completion of 2 years of a bachelor’s degree program in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or related field AND/OR</li>\n   <li>AAS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field AND/OR</li>\n   <li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Food or Healthcare Lab</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions                              </li>\n <li>Able to lift 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Perform basic measurements using scales, liquid measures</li>\n <li>Able to taste and handle dairy products and other ingredients that may contain allergens</li>\n <li>Basic computer proficiency including dataentry into Word & Excel</li>\n <li>Availability to work a variable schedule on occasion to cover other team member time off</li>\n <li>Able to handle chemicals and exposure to environmental allergens</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Duties:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>NYS Ag & Markets Dairy license</li>\n <li>Must be willing to be trained in the importance of Critical Control Points (CCP’s) and upon completion of the training, demonstrate knowledge of the Critical Control (CCP’s)</li>\n <li>Basic science/lab skills</li>\n <li>Willing to lead by example the Perry’s safety culture </li>\n <li>Commitment to living Perry’s “values” required</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills</li>\n <li>Able to work independently and as part of a Team                                  </li>\n <li>Accuracy, close attention to details.      </li>\n <li>Willing to inform TM’s of non-conforming events and help determine corrective action  </li>\n <li>Availability to work a variable schedule on occasion to cover other team member time off</li>\n <li>Other duties or tasks as assigned by Supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Why Perry’s?</u></strong><u></u></p>\n<p><strong>Working with and talking about ice cream… how <em>cool</em> is that?</strong></p>\n<p>Behind every bite of Cookie Dough and every scoop of Panda Paws is a passionate team bringing hard work and creative ideas to the table.
