The position of Immunization Nurse will be responsible to administer immunizations to infants, children, and adolescent and documents the administration in the EMR. Verify FL and patient&rsquo;s vaccine history before administering vaccines.</p><p><strong><u>TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ol><li>Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care.</li><li>Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.</li><li>Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.</li><li>Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.</li><li>A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.</li><li>Translate when it is necessary.</li><li>Filling immunization reports and forms, administration of medications and vaccines as well as to give parents VIS form before administering vaccines, ordering immunizations.</li><li>Order medical supplies and maintain inventory.</li><li>Order vaccine and vaccine administration supplies and maintain inventory.</li><li>Able to perform different treatments and procedures in patients when required such as but not limited to: aerosols, injection, immunizations, dipstick, ear lavage, dispense medications, wound care, etc.</li><li>Assist the supervisor as unusual problems arise.</li><li>Support staff in assigned project-based work and provide clinical support to Medical Assistant personnel and Providers.</li><li>Schedule patient appointments, respond to e-mails on a daily basis, return patients phone calls, and answer calls from pharmacies and hospitals.</li><li>Verify oxygen tank levels and order refill; Verify refrigerator and freezer temperature.</li><li>Manage Florida Shots Program; update and print Florida Shorts Certificates.</li><li>Address all task and orders as they appear in Athena.</li><li>Provide TB test results; Responsible to register patient for referrals with the Department of Health as well as give proper instructions to patient in the event there is a positive TB result.</li><li>Complete forms for aerosol machine and give instructions to parents on how to properly operate.</li><li>Get metabolic screening result from Tallahassee for newborns.</li><li>Complete nurse visit encounters.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor as required.</li></ol><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ol class=\"decimal_type\"><li>Medical Assistant or LPN with experience administering vaccines to pediatric patients.</li><li>Current CPR Certification.</li><li>0-2 years of experience in a related field. &nbsp;Immunization experienced preferred.</li><li>Bilingual preferred.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to interact effectively with consumers, administration, faculty, and staff.</li><li>Handle the information with high level of confidentiality.</li><li>Considerable knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a field.</li><li>Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.</li></ol><p style='font-family: \"Noto Sans\", \"Helvetica Neue\", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
