    "requisitionDescription": "<p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">GMC is seeking a <strong>Staff Archaeologist</strong> to join our <strong>Cultural Resources</strong> team and support our cultural resources projects throughout the Southeast. The Staff Archaeologist position involves Phase I, II, and III archaeological investigations, often requiring extended travel and physically demanding field conditions. Field Technicians will work under the supervision of Project Archaeologists and Field Directors to execute survey, testing, and data recovery efforts in compliance with federal and state regulations. This role is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits with <strong>some&nbsp;</strong><strong>flexibility around home office location</strong>, with work occurring in the Southeast region of the U.S.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Essential functions and responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul type=\"square\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct pedestrian survey, shovel testing, and excavation of test units, features, etc.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Identify and record archaeological sites, features, and artifacts</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain accurate and detailed field notes, forms, and photographic logs</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Use GPS, tablets, and other digital data collection tools</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with mapping, site documentation, and basic field processing</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follow established safety protocols and project methodologies</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated field experience in CRM archaeology (Southeastern U.S. preferred).
