Description
ABO Plasma is a wholly-owned subsidiary of GC Biopharma — one of South Korea's top-tier biopharmaceutical companies, with over half a century of expertise in plasma-derived therapies and vaccines and a recently launched U.S. presence. ABO Plasma operates a growing network of FDA-approved plasma collection centers and is currently in an active post-merger integration (PMI) phase — making this an ideal moment to join and help shape the technology and operational foundation of the U.S. business from the ground up. We are seeking a high-impact Manager of IT Operations & Digital Innovation to serve as the technology and data backbone of our enterprise.
This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role with broad organizational influence — working side-by-side with the COO as a thought partner to shape and build the company's technology and digital agenda together, spanning center-level IT management, BI/reporting infrastructure, AI-driven process improvement, and mobile application development. The right candidate is a hands-on technologist who is energized by co-creating solutions with executive leadership and moves fast in a regulated healthcare environment without losing the rigor that compliance requires.
• High-visibility IC role with direct access to the COO and executive leadership
◦ Your work shapes the digital infrastructure of the entire network — not a backlog ticket
• Strategic ownership across IT operations, analytics, AI innovation, and mobile products
◦ Rare opportunity to own a broad technology mandate from day one
• Competitive compensation package
◦ Base salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience
• Comprehensive benefits
◦ Medical, dental, vision | 401(k) with company match | PTO
• Mission-driven environment
◦ We collect plasma that saves lives — technology is central to that mission
PURPOSE
The IT Operations & Digital Innovation Manager role has broad organizational influence — working side-by-side with the COO as a thought partner to shape and build the company's technology and digital agenda together, spanning center-level IT management, BI/reporting infrastructure, AI-driven process improvement, and mobile application development. This position requires a hands-on technologist who is energized by co-creating solutions with executive leadership and moves fast in a regulated healthcare environment without losing the rigor that compliance requires.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Center IT Management
Provide corporate-level oversight of IT operations across all plasma collection centers on a regular cadence, including donor management systems (NexSys, NexLynk) and supporting infrastructure Periodically review system integrations and interface pipelines (e.g., NexSys–NexLynk data flows); coordinate bug resolution and vendor escalations as needed Ensure system uptime, data integrity, and regulatory compliance are maintained across all center-level IT touchpoints Serve as primary IT liaison between corporate and center-level operations teams BI & Reporting Infrastructure
Personally design, build, and maintain enterprise BI dashboards and KPI reporting frameworks end-to-end — this is a hands-on, in-house build function Partner with operations leadership and the COO to translate business priorities into actionable, self-service data products Standardize metric definitions, reporting cadences, and data governance across the center network Build and maintain automated reporting pipelines (SQL, scripting, and BI tooling) to eliminate manual data work and improve operational visibility Support weekly reporting cadence and executive-level KPI presentations AI-Driven Process Innovation
Identify, evaluate, and pilot AI and automation solutions to improve operational workflows — including donor flow, staff scheduling, compliance tracking, and reporting Maintain a prioritized backlog of AI/automation use cases tied directly to COO strategic priorities, with clear ROI estimates and deployment timelines Partner with center operators and corporate teams to surface high-ROI automation opportunities; run quick pilots before committing to full-scale rollouts Evaluate emerging AI tools and no-code/low-code platforms for rapid deployment in a regulated environment Mobile App & Admin Planning, Development & Operations
Lead end-to-end product lifecycle for internal mobile and admin applications: requirements gathering, vendor selection and management, launch, and ongoing operations — primarily delivered through external development partners Translate field-level operational needs into clear product requirements, scopes of work, and acceptance criteria for external development partners; handle smaller fixes or prototypes in-house when faster Source, evaluate, and manage external development vendors; own contracts, budgets, timelines, and quality across the mobile/admin app portfolio Gather continuous feedback from center operators and rapidly iterate on user experience and adoption Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and as a otherwise posted or communicated. Any other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related quantitative or technical field 6+ years of experience in IT operations, digital product management, or healthcare technology Hands-on proficiency with BI tools (Power BI or equivalent) and SQL Comfortable building working software end-to-end using modern AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent) full-stack literacy across front-end, back-end, and databases matters more than years of pure coding experience Demonstrated experience managing multi-site IT environments and vendor relationships Experience with system integrations, API-based interfaces, or data pipeline management Strong project management skills with the ability to own multiple workstreams simultaneously without direct reports Excellent cross-functional communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership Must be proficient in English, and where applicable, may require bilingual skills Hybrid working between office and home; some travel is required. Preferred/Nice to have:
Plasma Center IT / Operations: Hands-on experience operating donor management or similar clinical/operational systems across a multi-site network in plasma collection, blood banking, or FDA-regulated healthcare environments BI & Reporting: Proven track record of personally building enterprise BI dashboards and KPI frameworks end-to-end in Power BI (or equivalent) not just commissioning them; advanced SQL, data modeling, and reporting pipeline automation experience AI & Automation: Demonstrated experience deploying AI/ML or automation solutions into production in a regulated environment (e.g., Power Automate, Python, no-code AI platforms, LLM-based tooling) with measurable operational impact Mobile App & Vendor Management: Experience scoping, contracting, and managing external development vendors to deliver mobile or web applications on time and on budget — including SOW authoring, acceptance testing, and post-launch operations 8+ years of experience with progressive ownership across IT, BI, or digital product domains — including hands-on build experience, not just oversight Hands-on familiarity with NexSys, NexLynk, or similar donor management platforms PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Performing the responsibilities of the job requires the ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, and balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to read and review documents for up to eight (8) hours at a time and to stand for extended periods of time (2–4-hour intervals). Ability to read, and type while sitting in front of a computer for up to 2 hours at a time. Physical ability to operate plasmapheresis machine and related equipment. Manual dexterity to perform all phases of donor plasmapheresis that may require repetitive motions. Ability to lift, tug, and pull up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
