As Classic Recreations is a company characterized by constant growth and evolution, the ideal candidate must be highly adaptable, resilient under pressure, and open to implementing rapid changes as needed to support the organization’s progress.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This is a challenging and demanding role suited for individuals with a strong mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to driving excellence in every aspect of production operations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Job Level</span></span></p>\n<p>Manager</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Reports To</span></span></p>\n<p>Director of Production</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Duties and Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p>Department Oversight:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and mentor a team of technicians to meet production goals and uphold quality standards.</li>\n<li>Foster a collaborative, safety-conscious, and performance-driven work environment.</li>\n<li>Conduct regular team meetings to communicate expectations, provide feedback, and address challenges.</li>\n<li>Review and correct employee time punches and payroll reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> Operational Oversight:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee scheduling and workflow to ensure timely project on-time completion.</li>\n<li>Interview, hire and performance manage a team of assembly and refinishing technicians.</li>\n<li>Maintain, enforce, and improve standard operating procedures, ensuring consistency and accuracy.</li>\n<li>Properly schedule and execute warranty vehicle timelines for timely return to customers</li>\n<li>Develop and manage detailed production schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, utilizing as little overtime as possible.</li>\n<li>Oversee multiple stations simultaneously.</li>\n<li>Stay updated with the latest industry techniques, materials, and equipment related to classic vehicle restoration and make recommendations for departmental improvements.</li>\n<li>Must be on call evenings and weekends to respond to calls, texts, and time sensitive emails.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Metrics and Reporting:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Track labor hours and material usage to monitor efficiency and budget adherence.</li>\n<li>Record, maintain, and improve departmental performance metrics, including productivity, costs, and quality standards.</li>\n<li>Prepare, maintain, and present scorecards to executive leadership for review and strategic decision-making.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Cost Management:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage department budgets by tracking material costs and implementing cost-saving initiatives.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with procurement to source high-quality materials within budget constraints.</li>\n<li>Work closely with our supply chain department on inventory, ensuring sufficient stock while maintaining cost control and high-quality standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Vendor Management and Quality Assurance:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with internal departments as well as outside vendors to address quality issues and ensure timely resolution, including pushing back on substandard deliveries to maintain project standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Required Skills and Abilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Automotive enthusiast with knowledge in the automotive or manufacturing industry.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, and quality control.</li>\n<li>Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with experience implementing safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.</li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.</li>\n<li>Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed to support production operations.
