    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Job Title:&nbsp;</strong>Coax Technician II</p><p><strong>Division:&nbsp;</strong>FiOptix Inc</p><p><strong>FSLA Status</strong>: &nbsp;Non-Exempt</p><p><strong>Reports To:&nbsp;</strong>Project Manager</p><p><strong>Job Summary:&nbsp;</strong>This position is responsible for establishing communication systems by installing, operating, and maintaining voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prepare installation diagrams for various projects</li><li>Splice active and passive network components</li><li>Plan network splicing by studying customer work order requests and using customer playbooks, manuals, and technical specifications</li><li>Troubleshoot network for noise and ingress</li><li>Rough balance amplifier and set node outputs</li><li>Utilize coaxial test equipment, including TDR, DSAM (Sweep and Balance), and leakage detector</li><li>Document and retrieve splicing information</li><li>Maintain equipment, material, and tool inventory&nbsp;</li><li>Resolve customer issues accurately and timely; escalate matters of significance to local management&nbsp;</li><li>Provide as-builds as required</li><li>Complete all required Company documentation&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.</p><p><strong>Education:&nbsp;</strong><strong>High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education</strong></p><p><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>One-year coax splicing experience</li><li>One to two years telecommunication construction and cable experience preferred</li><li>Ability to use sweep equipment&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to analyze and troubleshoot design plans as needed to support the project</li><li>Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for project build process</li><li>Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel or equivalent software to document and retrieve splicing information</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions&nbsp;</li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented</li><li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to detect errors, determine causes, and make corrections as appropriate</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing</li><li>Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements</li><li>Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, and lift 50 lbs.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to climb and work at elevations&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces</li><li>Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather</li><li>Ability to work in confined spaces&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work long and unpredictable hours&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Disclaimer</strong>: All job requirements are subject to possible revision to reflect changes in the position requirements.
