Description

Position Summary Specialist will deliver a superior new hire experience for academic populations (including full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and others) by providing a high level of customer service and maintaining quality throughout the pre-employment onboarding process. Ensure the completion and accuracy of all pre-employment processes and forms according to policies and guidelines, while maintaining data integrity. In order to ensure a seamless onboarding process, interact with new hires, school/unit points of contact, Human Resources, and other areas of the University as needed. Ensure accuracy and compliance with faculty lifecycle data gathering and reporting. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Required Experience: 2+ years relevant experience in customer service, data maintenance, onboarding operations, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred Experience: 2+ years Experience in a shared services environment Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to administer business processes and requests consistently with general supervision. Ability to assess problems and promptly resolve or identify appropriate teams to resolve. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and collaborate across the University at all levels within and outside the organization. Strong time management, attention to detail and ability to manage individual assignments. Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to creatively and logically solve problems and multi-task effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to be tactful and diplomatic in dealing with difficult issues and/or diverse populations. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of the Workday HRIS system, faculty information systems, and reporting environment. Understanding of University HR and NYU policies and procedures. Working knowledge of service request management tools. Working knowledge and use of office productivity tools and web-based applications. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
