No matter where you are or how you express yourself, it’s always the fastest way to share a moment!   </span></p><p></p><p><span>We&#39;re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Electrical Engineer to join the SpectaclesSnap Lab team and work on our next-generation Augmented Reality Spectacles.</span></p><p></p><p><span>What you’ll do:</span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Partner with Engineering, Technical Operations, and contract manufacturers to ensure product meets factory yield targets.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Coordinate defect resolution with engineering technical operations, and contract manufacturers.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Develop and maintain documentation on failure analysis procedures, repair procedures, best practices, and lessons learned.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Perform detailed failure analysis on manufacturing failures, including PCB board-level, device level, and FW debugging to identify the root cause and resolution.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Provide yield reports, defect pareto data, action plans, and escalations for functional performance quality.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Mentor, train, and lead contract manufacturers on failure analysis, root-cause analysis, and defect resolution.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Define or develop tools and fixtures that are required for Spectacles and board-level failure analysis</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Collaborate with Factory Test and Reliability teams to validate Factory Test effectiveness through circuit analysis or inducing defects and validating test processes.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Provide guidance on or Design-for-Repairability, Design-for-Manufacturability.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Provide status reports and present data on yields, defects, and resolutions to senior leadership team.</span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:</span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Strong understanding of electronic and components and PCB design, and manufacturing process</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Proficient with reading schematic designs, familiarity with schematic capture, gerber files, etc.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Knowledge and failure analysis experience in acoustics, cameras, displays, RF (Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc)</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Familiar with use of failure analysis equipment e.g. microscope, oscilloscope, multimeter, OMM, etc</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Experience with consumer electronics tear down and assembly process. Experience in root cause analysis due to non-conforming materials or assembly process related functional failures such as B2B connection, ZIF connection, flex crack, part damage, electrical shorts, poor assembly </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Experience in analysis methods e.g. X-ray, CT Scan, SEM, FTIR, cross-section etc</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Familiar with PCB/SMT failure modes such as solder shorts, BGA head-in-pillow soldering failures, etc</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Familiar with Six Sigma or statistical methodologies</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Experience scripting spreadsheets, Big Query or SQL, Looker Studio reports, or other programming or data processing tools</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Proficient in written and verbal communication in both Mandarin and English</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Provide essential on-site support during prototype and mass production builds</span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>Minimum Qualifications:</span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>3&#43; years in electronics manufacturing or related field for IPC 610 Class II products (dedicated consumer electronics)</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Ability to work on-site at Taipei manufacturing site 35%&#43; (during active bills must be on-site, commutable distance from Taiwan CM)</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Ability to travel to US, China, Thailand 10%&#43; of the time </span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>Preferred Qualifications:</span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Masters in engineering, FW or related field</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>5&#43; years in electronics manufacturing or related field</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Experience with programming or scripting languages (Python, Looker, etc)</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Six Sigma green belt or black belt certification</span></span></p></li></ul><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p><span>If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some </span><a href=\"https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScV7t31iR3yYR9ztGDHJpbvL63svWpb6s0afkBkLEjGnDx4Kg/viewform\" target=\"_blank\"><u>information</u></a>.</p><p></p><p><span>&#34;Default Together&#34; Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration.
