We’re committed to ensuring an equal-opportunity workplace with growth opportunities and a place where no one feels like “just another employee number.”</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">POSITION SUMMARY</span></p>\n<p>The Sensor Operator/Visual Observer plays a critical supporting role in the flight operations team. Your daily function may include sensor operation while the pilot conducts the flight profile, as well as airspace scanning and UAS situational awareness support for the pilot. You may also be involved in data quality checks post-mission and data transfer to the company's servers. Responsibilities listed in Title 14, C.F.R. Part 107, company and customer standard operating procedures, and Safety Management Systems (SMS) are all to be complied with as part of the position requirements. You'll be provided with PPE, safety gear, and all other kit necessary for you to execute your role in the flight operations.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<p>The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain a working knowledge and compliance with all FAA Part 107 regulations as outlined in the Federal Aviation Regulations and Airman Information Manual,</li>\n<li>Comply with company and customer standard operating procedures and safety management system (SMS) requirements,</li>\n<li>Perform airspace and ground hazard scanning for the pilot to ensure safety in flight,</li>\n<li>Perform sensor operation and other camera control functions,</li>\n<li>Actively participate in risk assessments pre-mission,</li>\n<li>Be respectful and responsive to the needs of the public and protection of the environment,</li>\n<li>Help to ensure all equipment is airworthy in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and company requirements,</li>\n<li>Support image quality checks before final transfer to project leads.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Applicants must be 21 years of age or older</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid and current Part 107 certificate is strongly preferred as it may allow for a quicker transition into a pilot role,</li>\n<li>Valid Drivers license and clean DMV report,</li>\n<li>The ability to pass a background security clearance check is a strong asset,</li>\n<li>U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3),.</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of photography and the ability to detect and correct quality issues on the fly,</li>\n<li>Experience with DJI systems such as Mavic 3E, M30(T), M300, M350,</li>\n<li>Highly computer literate with knowledge of MS 365, G-Suite, Adobe PDF, and browser-based data transfer methods such as FTP sites and Filezilla,</li>\n<li>Experience dealing with logistical challenges when working abroad.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT</span></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this position successfully.
