Established in 1978, SWCHC provides a wide range of health care services such as primary health care, health promotion, community development, mental health, and harm reduction. Our team of doctors, nurses, dietitians and more offer a range of medical services.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<p>Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care the Footcare Nurse works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide foot care in conjunction with our Chiropodist and practitioners to enhance client quality of life through proactive lower limb assessment and evidence-based nursing interventions.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">❖   Life and Work Experience</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two- three years’ of foot care nursing experience</li>\n<li>Previous clinic experience an asset</li>\n<li>Previous experience using an EMR, preferably Practice Solutions Suite (PSS)</li>\n<li>Knowledge of infection prevention and control (IPAC) practices and reprocessing of instruments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">❖   Your Education Path</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RPN)</li>\n<li>Proof of footcare certification</li>\n<li>Current CPR (preferred) Training</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">❖   Required Language</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluency in English required</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of French or other languages an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Bring to the Table</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of primary health care and the social determinants of health</li>\n<li>Able to work effectively in an inter-professional environment</li>\n<li>Knowledge and awareness related to cultural competence</li>\n<li>Experience working with disadvantaged communities</li>\n<li>Knowledge of footcare related to Primary Care, Community Health, Chronic Disease Management</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Your Day-to-Day at a Glance</span><br></p>\n<p> As our Footcare Nurse your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Footcare assessments</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nail and skin care</li>\n<li>Preventative client education</li>\n<li>Infection Control and sterilization</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>                                                        </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ready to Apply? </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Take your career to the next level!
