Description

Description The Nuclear Medicine Technologist of the Nuclear Medicine and/or Molecular Imaging & Therapy departments are a state and nationally registered professionals who possess the required skills and judgment necessary to obtain quality nuclear medicine studies. This position is Per Diem status. Responsibilities The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I will work under the supervision of the Technical Supervisor and the Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to perform routine nuclear medicine procedures. This includes educating the patient and/or family about the procedure, administering radiopharmaceuticals, positioning patient for accurate and clear images, and providing post-procedure instructions. The technologist accurately documents all patient information in the appropriate systems. All Nuclear Medicine Technologist positions may require call responsibility and rotation to hospital-adjacent imaging center locations. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience Associates Degree or higher. Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program required Must have a minimum of 1 year continuous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist License Required State of California Certified Technologist Nuclear Medicine (CTNM) license Certifications Required AHA BLS Certification is required. Advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT-N or NMTCB-CNMT Certifications Preferred Advanced certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography Company Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is a nonprofit regional health care delivery network in Orange County, California, consisting of three acute-care hospitals with sixteen urgent care centers, eleven health centers and a network of more than1,800 physicians, 100 allied health members, 8,000 employees, and 2,000 volunteers.
