Within the framework of a Catholic Health care organization and in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Values and Ethical Framework, the Supervisor coordinates a Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E.) program, provides educational/learning opportunities for staff, physicians and volunteers on matters of spirituality and pastoral care, and performs direct service clinical spiritual care.</p>\n<h2>What You Bring</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s Degree with relevant theological or spiritual studies from a recognized institution.</li>\n <li>Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Teaching Supervisor or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>Current certification as a Teaching Supervisor by the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC).</li>\n <li>Current membership in good standing with CASC.</li>\n <li>Endorsed by and a member in good standing with a recognized religious or faith group</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Good understanding of Roman Catholic moral teaching and ethical framework</li>\n <li>Demonstrated spiritual maturity and integrity</li>\n <li>Approaches students and others in a person-centered manner with insight, discernment, and flexibility</li>\n <li>Provides spiritual care with sensitivity, openness, and respect in a multi-cultural, multi-faith context, including diverse expressions of spirituality</li>\n <li>Seeks and offers professional consultation with spiritual care colleagues and other professionals</li>\n <li>Effectively manages stress in the roles of teacher, mentor, and direct care provider</li>\n <li>Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills with a clear affinity for teaching</li>\n <li>Excellent planning and coordination abilities</li>\n <li>Proven ability to work collaboratively with team and program leaders</li>\n <li>Demonstrated computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases</li>\n <li>Physical ability to perform the duties of the position</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We Offer</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Competitive salary:</strong> $45.46- $65.35/CAD per hour, depending on experience </li>\n <li><strong>Comprehensive benefits:</strong> Eligible employees receive a robust medical and dental benefits package, including <u>4 weeks paid vacation starting</u>.</li>\n <li><strong>Pension plan: </strong>Work towards a comfortable retirement through employer-matched contributions to one of Canada's strongest pension plans! </li>\n <li><strong>Meaningful impact:</strong> Your dedication and expertise will directly impact the lives of patients, including many from marginalized communities, helping contribute to the public healthcare system we're privileged to have here in BC.  </li>\n <li><strong>Growth opportunities:</strong> We welcome individuals at all stages of their career, offering opportunities for professional development and growth.</li>\n <li><strong>State-of-the-art facilities:</strong>  The new St. Paul’s Hospital and health campus will be the most innovative approach to the delivery of integrated care in B.C. and Canada, designed to appropriately address the future health needs of patients, families and our communities. We value the cultural richness that our diverse workforce brings to the care of our equally diverse population of patients and residents. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Your Day to Day:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develops, implements, and evaluates the Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E.) program in alignment with standards set by the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC).</li>\n <li>Establishes and maintains program/course approval and site accreditation with CASC.</li>\n <li>Secures eligibility for academic course credit at the graduate level through the Vancouver School of Theology.</li>\n <li>Collaborates with the Professional Practice Leader and Site Coordinators in screening, placing, monitoring, and evaluating C.P.E. students at Providence Health Care (PHC) sites.</li>\n <li>Partners with C.P.E. Supervisors from other organizations to support regional coordination of pastoral education.</li>\n <li>Contributes to budget development aligned with strategic priorities and ensures effective fiscal management within allocated resources.</li>\n <li>Provides direct pastoral/spiritual care to patients and residents in assigned unit(s).</li>\n <li>Assists the Professional Practice Leader and Site Coordinators in developing work plans to support professional development and skill enhancement for Pastoral Care Services staff.</li>\n <li>Collaborates in designing and delivering workshops and courses on spiritual and pastoral care for PHC staff, physicians, and volunteers.</li>\n <li>Develops, implements, and evaluates community-based spiritual/pastoral care courses in partnership with PHC programs.</li>\n <li>Participates in the oversight of pastoral care services across all PHC sites.</li>\n <li>Initiates and engages in research projects related to spiritual and pastoral care.</li>\n <li>Serves on designated committees and maintains internal and external professional responsibilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<p>We acknowledge that Providence Health Care and the new St. Paul’s Hospital site is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. </p>",
