Co-Responder – Full-Time Location: Sheboygan, WI (Based at Sheboygan Police Department) Schedule:  6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m., (FT) including every other weekend Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI (Based at Sheboygan Falls Police Department) Schedule: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (FT/PT), including every other weekend Pay Range: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour Looking to Elevate Your Career? The Co-Responder provides community-based crisis intervention, de-escalation, assessment, safety planning, follow-up support, and connection to resources. This position works collaboratively with the Sheboygan Police Department and community partners to provide person-centered responses that promote safety, recovery, and improved outcomes for individuals in crisis. Participate in patrol briefings, debriefings, ride-alongs, and proactive community outreach with law enforcement partners. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and required data collection. Maintain required training, education, certifications, and best practice standards, including applicable Wisconsin requirements. Protect client confidentiality and maintain professional standards at all times. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required. Knowledge of behavioral health, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to assess situations, problem-solve, and make sound decisions in crisis environments. Experience or training in crisis intervention preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive and respectful services. Ability to collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Understanding of self-care practices and maintaining professional boundaries. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws related to crisis response and behavioral health services.
