    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Location: Greater Philadelphia area/Western NJ</p>\n<p>Job Type: Contract-to-Hire</p>\n<p>Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The A.C.Coy Company is currently hiring for a Field Technician role to support client locations in Greater Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware, and at times, across the U.S.  Our ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, 2+ years of IT, RF, or telecom experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to complete walking tests of up to 1/2 mile, when needed. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our Client will provide paid training, a vehicle to use for work, a gas card, and all the necessary test equipment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide onsite engineering support during deployment of Distributed Antenna Systems</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex installation and hardware problems for both active and passive DAS equipment</li>\n <li>Navigate technical scope of work documents to accurately execute procedures and deliverables</li>\n <li>Support Senior Field Engineers on site in assembly, programming, troubleshooting, optimization, and commissioning of Distributed Antenna Systems</li>\n <li>Use test equipment such as signal generator, spectrum analyzer, Cat5/6 cable tester and fiber optic power meter to troubleshoot and diagnose network issues</li>\n <li>Perform benchmark and post-commissioning data collection using laptop, PCTEL scanner, UEs and industry standard data collection software </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two or more years of technical work experience in the Information Technology or Wireless Telecom industries</li>\n <li>Ability to walk up to 1/2 mile to perform in-building walk tests in large buildings</li>\n <li>Ability to lift 50lbs, work from ladders, climb, crouch, and kneel.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with common hand tools</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimum oversight</li>\n <li>Basic proficiency with Windows, PC hardware, MS Office Software, and other basic applications</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks</li>\n <li>Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic knowledge of RF theory, networking, and telecommunications, with experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving</li>\n <li>Ability to read blueprints, design drawings & Visio drawings</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to clear criminal background checks, drug screen and driver’s license check</li>\n <li>Ability to travel (at times overnight) throughout the PA/NJ/DE area and do national travel a few times per month (during the week)</li>\n</ul>",
