    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Senior Environmental Scientist or Engineer (Contaminated Sites) – Halifax</u></strong></p>\n<p>There’s no pledge more important than the one we make to look after our environment, and we’re committed to helping you do exactly that.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Who are we looking for?</strong></p>\n<p>We are currently looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist or Engineer to join our Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation (CAR) Teams in our Atlantic Canada office location in Bedford, NS.</p>\n<p><strong>Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Engineering Solutions Design</strong>: Overseeing, planning, and designing of environmental sampling and analysis work plans;</li>\n <li><strong>Health, Safety, and Environment:</strong> Completing of environmental risk assessments;&nbsp;Implementing and enforcing project specific health and safety plans on project sites;</li>\n <li><strong>Environmental Site Assessments:</strong>&nbsp;Overseeing project teams performing complex Phase I to IV Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs);</li>\n <li><strong>Technical Troubleshooting:</strong> Performing senior review and regulatory compliance oversight;</li>\n <li><strong>Technical Developments Recommendation:</strong>&nbsp;Technical report writing and proposal development for submission to provincial and federal regulatory authorities;&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Engineering Drawings:&nbsp;</strong>Create engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Data Collection and Analysis:</strong> Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Project Management:</strong> Supervising project teams completing field activities including monitoring/sampling, excavation, drilling and remedial activities;&nbsp;Procuring services and contract management; Supporting Project Managers and Business Groups on various environmental and industrial projects; Leading internal project teams for multi-media assessments of complex sites; Possessing strong project management, coordination and planning skills to meet client timelines and budget;</li>\n <li><strong>Testing:</strong> Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards.&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Research:</strong> Completing peer reviews, providing recommendations, and quality control/quality review of technical reports;</li>\n <li><strong>Personal Capability Building:</strong> Supporting the growth of the environmental practice in Eastern Canada.</li>\n <li><strong>Client &amp; Customer Management (External):</strong> Interacting with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>What you will bring to the team:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An undergraduate or Graduate degree in Science or Engineering. P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation considered an asset.</li>\n <li>A minimum of 8 years of environmental consulting experience completing ESAs and remediation projects.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Provincial and Federal environmental guidelines and regulations.</li>\n <li>A comprehensive understanding and experience with Federal framework and/or FCSAP process would be a great asset.</li>\n <li>Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle;</li>\n <li>Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments; meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, mentoring and technical writing skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Bilingual in French and English are considered an asset.</li>\n <li>Attention to detail.
