Lead the development of creative solutions for new bridge designs and rehabilitation projects, drawing on your expertise in OSIM inspections, investigations, and the preparation of technical assessment reports. Your knowledge will help drive the safe and sustainable renewal of vital infrastructure.</p>\n<p>Share your expertise by coaching and mentoring junior engineers, designers, technicians and co-ops fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. At Arcadis, you’ll help shape resilient, future-ready communities and advance your career within a global leader in sustainable design.</p>\n<p>This position is open to candidates at our office in Ottawa, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact on transportation infrastructure nationwide.</p>\n<p><strong>Role accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>In this role, you will take the lead in preparing both preliminary and detailed designs for bridges, culverts, and other transportation-related structures.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing structural inspections, analysis and calculations to ensure the safety, durability, and efficiency of our projects.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen attention to detail while preparing comprehensive reports and contract documents, helping to lay the foundation for successful project delivery.</li>\n <li>Collaboration will be at the heart of your work, as you coordinate and review drawing production and maintain close communication with other engineering disciplines.</li>\n <li>Your ability to foster teamwork and project collaboration will be essential in delivering high-quality results.</li>\n <li>In addition, you will serve as a key point of contact during the construction phase, providing construction liaison services and conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.</li>\n <li>Upholding rigorous quality control and quality assurance standards will be a central part of your role.</li>\n <li>Beyond technical skills, you will have a passion for mentoring, coaching, and inspiring others within the team.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Sharing your knowledge and supporting the professional growth of junior team members will contribute to our collaborative culture.</li>\n <li>You will also play a part in the business development process by assisting with the preparation of proposals and bids for new work, helping Arcadis to continue building a strong portfolio of impactful projects.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from an accredited university&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Licensed Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (or another provincial association) preferred.</li>\n <li>Minimum four (4) years of design experience for new bridges and bridge rehabilitations for various bridge types and materials including highway and rail bridges.</li>\n <li>Experience and proven knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, and provincial/territorial standards &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Familiarity with OSIM (Ontario Structural Inspection Manual) and has at least two (2) years experience conducting or participating OSIM bridge and culvert inspections, preferably within the Ottawa region.</li>\n <li>Knowledge in structural analysis software for the evaluation and analysis of various types of bridges and working knowledge of CAD software&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Initiative and ability to work independently and to provide direction to other members of a Project Team with a collaborative attitude&nbsp;</li>\n <li>A commitment to deadlines, excellence and high-quality work with a strong attention to detail and accuracy&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Analytical thinker and problem solver with the ability to present ideas and design rational&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
